These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings for photography masterclasses, workshops and other paid activities organised by Rotterdam Photographic.
By booking a workshop or masterclass, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Rotterdam Photographic is a photography education and community project based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

2. Our workshops and masterclasses
Rotterdam Photographic offers photography workshops, masterclasses, photo walks and other photography-related educational activities.
Each activity may have its own:
- date and time;
- location;
- duration;
- maximum number of participants;
- level or recommended experience;
- equipment requirements; and
- other specific conditions.
The information provided on the relevant workshop or masterclass page forms part of the booking agreement.
Places may be limited in order to maintain a small-group and personal learning experience.
2. Booking
A booking is completed when you have successfully purchased a ticket through one of our authorised ticketing platforms or other sales channels.Your place is only guaranteed once your payment has been successfully processed.
After booking, you should receive a confirmation or ticket from the platform through which you purchased your place.
If you experience a problem with your booking, please contact us and provide your booking or order information where possible.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking where this is reasonably necessary, for example where a workshop is already fully booked.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are displayed on the website in euros (€), unless stated otherwise.
The applicable price is the price displayed at the time you complete your purchase.
Payment can be made using the payment methods available during checkout.
Where applicable, VAT will be included in the displayed price.
Any mandatory additional costs should be clearly communicated during the purchasing process.
The price applicable to your booking is the price displayed by the sales platform at the time you complete your purchase.
We reserve the right to change prices for future masterclasses or workshops. A price change will not affect an order that has already been confirmed.
4. Cancellation by the participant
We understand that plans can change.
If you need to cancel your booking, please contact Rotterdam Photographic as soon as possible.
For cancellations made at least 3 days before the scheduled workshop or masterclass, you are entitled to a refund of 50% of the ticket price.
For cancellations made less than 3 days before the event, including cancellations on the day of the event, no refund will be provided.
Service, booking or processing fees charged by third-party ticketing platforms may not be refundable where these fees have already been charged by the platform.
Where mandatory consumer rights apply, those rights take precedence over this cancellation policy.
6. Right of withdrawal
Because Rotterdam Photographic workshops and masterclasses are organised for specific dates, the statutory 14-day cooling-off period generally does not apply to these bookings under the applicable exception for leisure activities and services provided on a specific date or during a specific period.
This does not affect any other mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
5. Cancellation or postponement by Rotterdam Photographic
We reserve the right to cancel, postpone or change a workshop or masterclass when reasonably necessary.
This may include circumstances such as:
- severe or unsafe weather conditions;
- illness or unexpected circumstances affecting the instructor;
- venue or location problems;
- insufficient registrations;
- safety concerns; or
- circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If Rotterdam Photographic cancels an event, participants will be offered either:
a) a transfer to a rescheduled or alternative event; or
b) a refund of the ticket price.
If you purchased your ticket through a third-party ticketing platform, the refund may be processed through that platform.
Any mandatory consumer rights relating to a cancelled event remain unaffected.
8. Outdoor workshops and weather
Many Rotterdam Photographic activities take place outdoors.
Weather conditions may require us to change the meeting point, route, schedule or format of a workshop or photo walk.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to participants as soon as possible.
Participants are responsible for dressing appropriately for the weather and bringing suitable equipment.
If weather conditions make an activity unsafe and Rotterdam Photographic decides to cancel the event, the cancellation policy in Section 7 will apply.
6. Equipment during photo walk
Participants are responsible for bringing and looking after their own photography equipment.Unless specifically stated otherwise, we do not provide cameras, lenses, memory cards, batteries or other photographic equipment.
We recommend bringing fully charged batteries and sufficient storage space.
7. Respect for others
Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards other participants, instructors, members of the public and any people who are photographed.
You are responsible for complying with applicable laws concerning photography, privacy, consent and the use or publication of photographs you take during a workshop.
The instructor may provide general guidance about photography and ethical practices, but participants remain responsible for how they use their own photographs.
8. Photographs taken during workshops
Where we intend to use identifiable photographs or video of participants for promotional purposes, we will request the appropriate permission or consent where required.
If you do not wish to appear in promotional photographs or video, please inform us before the workshop or contact us at info@rotterdamphotographic.com.
You remain the owner of photographs that you create yourself during a workshop, subject to the rights of any third parties appearing in those photographs.

20. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our activities, services or applicable legislation.
The version applicable to your booking is the version in effect when you completed your purchase, unless a change is required by law.
The latest version will be published on the Rotterdam Photographic website.
